However, while I started working on this path of understanding on how everything is conditioned and when that condition fade away, a new condition takes over and one experiences “pleasurable” or “painful” feelings depending upon those very conditions. While investigating on the Buddha Dhamma using various tools both online and offline, helped me to unearth just like what Buddha was searching for. > **That is:** *What does not give a lasting happiness should be having flaw and removing that flaw would then provide lasting happiness.* Due to ignorance, the flaw is not seen and what is seen is a continuous stream of events which one associates with and makes it as “me”, “mine” and “myself” which was my condition too few years back. I could not get rid of ignorance initially due to not able to properly understand Buddha teachings and steps that needs to be followed. And so my quest for searching both (teachings and steps) took shape with vigour and rousing energy as I started on the path through ‘proper’ understanding of Buddha Dhamma and not otherwise. Hence, it is imperative to have proper understanding of Dhamma either in original or translated form and if the language and syntax has been distorted (though not due to deliberate attempt) due to translation and lack of words in a particular language like English, these *pali* words and sentences would mean different in original sense and give a total different meaning in translated sense. As an example, *raga* in *pali* would mean “colouring” and in English, it is generally translated as “passion” or “desire” etc., Actually when one colours something, it would lead to passion as there is distortion. Thus, keeping it as “colouring” would make much better sense than “passion”. Also, different traditions, customs and language in the world have a different understanding of “passion”. In the rudimentary language, we say that one needs to have “passion”, but then when you read Dhamma, it would mean that having passion is not good. This then, disturbs the mind and creates doubt. Thus, not satisfied with various translations and meanings provided over internet and YouTube videos, I felt that making “Buddha” as my teacher is the only respite and going through *sutta’s* would be the right way forward, What I’ve done here is to provide the nearest meaning to the *pali* words which then helps anyone visiting this site and videos to get closer to dhamma and experience all that one should experience and then become confident in dhamma as preached by Buddha which is pure and sublime. While investigating a particular sutta, ([[MN26 Pāsarāsisutta|Pāsarāsisutta]]), it clicked me that these SEVEN things should be experienced by oneself just like what Buddha did in order to find out whether the path is correct and the knowledge gained can be experienced, These seven are as follows: | | (Ref: [[MN26 Pāsarāsisutta#^7-qualities-sutta\|MN26 Pāsarāsisutta]]) | | ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | ***nibbidāya*** | Seeing foulness in body and hence “dis-illusioned” | | ***virāgāya*** | Seeing that senses do not give any lasting pleasure | | ***nirodhāya*** | Seeing that anything that arises, passes away. Can be seen in breath | | ***upasamāya*** | Getting a relief, peaceful, calm feeling due to the above | | ***abhiññāya*** | Seeing for oneself what is the truth – Ex: Food is the source of everything – physical and mental | | ***sambodhāya*** | Experiencing for oneself 4 NOBLE TRUTH | | ***nibbānāya*** | Ending of craving, which then removes raga, dvesa and moha | ^pasarasi-7-things From the time I started working intently and deeply using the sutta mentioned above, insights started to happen as I went from one sutta to another contemplating it which helped me in establishing Samatha (tranquility) and Vipassana (Investigation) to reach stages of Sotapanna, Sakadagami & Anagami. Right now, working hard to reach the stage of Arahat and again having a step by step approach is largely helping me and should be able to see the light at end of the tunnel soon. You may navigate to this site by visiting [Dhamma](https://spiritualessence.in/dhamma/) section and also to YouTube channel through this small introductory video. <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cnTKvhU16_Q" width="600" height="340"></iframe> As the saying from the Buddha goes, “*Sabba dānan Dhamma dānan jināti,”* or “Gift of Dhamma excels all other gifts.” If you were to get some benefit from the dhamma experience shared, please feel free to share that with others without fail. We can certainly see that “every human has to take pain and discomfort” to maintain the life in a particular way and if the dhamma can give that medicine to be happy without conditions, it should be shared and given to all. What I’ve done here is to apply that medicine to this maintenance aspect which is painful and Buddha dhamma has done worked out to see the truth of life and come of out madness and hence, sharing this with you. No part of experience or writing or videos I can take credit of since the madness I had has been removed by my teacher and my sincere gratitude and devotion goes to the teacher who taught this dhamma 2500 plus years ago and once one understands it correctly, there is no rolling back into madness. May all beings get rid of pain and suffering of life and attain the supreme bliss of nibbana which is the only happiness. Finally, “*Sabba ratin Dhamma ratin jināti,”* or “Taste of Dhamma excels all other tastes which are basically pleasures of life which we are deeply interested in.” I do have confidence that you will have the patience and interest to look around the site and videos to explore Dhamma for your removal of pains and to start enjoying its taste, which excels all. If you are interested, then you can write to me about the experiences and want to join the group for dhamma discussions live on Google Meet or Skype or WhatsApp, please email me at: **[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])**
