## (2023-01-20) Part 1
> [!info] Video: Practice Samatha and Vipassanā ([Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSxcQZP_1fA))
- Steps
1. Get into deep relaxation (e.g. following something like [[(Fundamental!) {Vilas Blog} Preliminary Steps for Anapanassati]])
2. **@@@@** Look at [[Ajjhatta & Bahiddha|Ajjhatta & Bahiddhā]], Using [[Dhatu|Dhātu]]
- first, you look at ajjhatta, then you look at bahiddha, then you leave both **(nothing is called internal or external)**
3. With the above step, you've remoeved all **"distractions" (vikkhepo)** from the mind, and hence ready for Vipassana
- What is [[Kaya]]? It's is 3 things:
1. The breath
2. The 5 dhatu
3. The 5 senses
## (2023-01-26) (Great) Practice using Uposathasutta!
> [!info] Video: Dhamma practice Series DAY 1 ([Youtube](https://youtu.be/fjOwcDF9Ahw))
> - Using [[AN3.70 Uposathasutta]] as an object
> - #dhamma/practice/important Very important practice to elevate one to the [[Brahma]] realm of existence!!
> - on [[Saddha]], [[Sila]], etc.
> - Nice [[Pali]] readings!!
- @@ Went through the details of [[AN3.70 Uposathasutta.md#^8-precepts-summary]] along with How Samatha and Vipassana is done!
- Why do we **avoid abrahmacariya**? Because it leads to rebirths :)
- @@ **What is the "wrong time" of eating**?
- Any time between 2pm until the afternoon (or at least morning) of the next day
- On [[Loka]]
- [[Deva]] has more of the 5 qualities (saddha, Sila, suta, caga, Panna) than human
- **@@@@** We also have, but of a **different kind**! (E.g. our Sila is law / company ethics, our suta is math, our caga is on giving up for our kids/country, our Panna is on how to do work!)
- When raga/dvesha/moha are equal, one becomes [[Animal]]
- When dvesha is highest, one becomes [[Peta]]
- When moha is highest, one becomes [[Asura]]
- They're **COMPLETELY deluded**..
