(2022-12-17) Practice restraining of senses ([Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSxlyJUjOOw))
- @@ #dhamma/practice (For all 6 senses) Practice seeing that the "sight", "eye", "consciousness" and "feeling" are all "conditioned" and **dependently originated** (per [[MN18 Madhupiṇḍikasutta|MN18]]), and how that they arise due to conditions and passes away due to conditions. This puts you in Anicca sanna.
- #eryu/learning **@@@@** When seeing that it is [[Sankhata|Conditioned]], the **most immediate way** is to first see that it's **conditioned by the "eye" and the "object" being there, and the [[Phassa]]!!** And **as soon as you move the eye, the object is gone**!! It is **the most immediate condition that you should see**!!
- And only after seeing that, THEN you can go into *why* the object is there. E.g. "Investigating" into the indirect causes.
- @@@@ #dhamma/practice/eryu Practice seeing through the eyes just like a **Camera**, without **"capturing"** any images. And like that for other 5 senses.
- @@ **As the camera moves, so the objects drop off!**
- (Wrt Nāma — phassa, vedana, sanna, cetana, manasikara) When an image is captured, feeling has arised, then the perception (of it being "real"), then an intention (cetana) to have more or less has come (i.e. vitakka), then one experiences this as "mine" and starts the story making (papanca)
- @@ You'll feel [[Niramisa]] sukkha as you lose **the attachment** to Any object -- because by their **nature** they're **always dropping off**.
