- How to practice?
- **Prerequisite**
- You should have contemplated (anupassana) on some other Dhamma concept beforehand
- Watch your breath and get into Samatha
- Investigate on some dhamma subject (e.g. anicca, dukkha, anatta, 5 aggregates, etc.), e.g. using the [[MN140 Dhātuvibhaṅgasutta]] to see what is Rupa, Vedana, etc.
- Go deeper into contemplation (Anupassana) so the mind is established on dhamma and is not holding onto anything
- Read the sutta, which become Vipassana
- Then close your eyes deeply investigate, which is anupassana
- Take the 8 precepts
