## Nandi is the source of Suffering

> “Puṇṇa, there are sights known by the eye, which are likable, desirable, agreeable, pleasant, sensual, and arousing.
> _“Santi kho, puṇṇa, cakkhuviññeyyā rūpā iṭṭhā kantā manāpā piyarūpā kāmūpasaṁhitā rajanīyā._

> If a mendicant approves, welcomes, and keeps clinging to them,
> _Tañce bhikkhu abhinandati abhivadati ajjhosāya tiṭṭhati._
>
> this gives rise to relishing.
> _Tassa taṁ abhinandato abhivadato ajjhosāya tiṭṭhato uppajjati nandī._
>
> Relishing is the origin of suffering, I say.
> _‘Nandīsamudayā dukkhasamudayo, puṇṇā’ti vadāmi._
